What is Antenna Port Spurious Emissions Testing?
In traditional understanding, spurious emissions testing for TX or RX (excluding the requirements of FCC Part 15.247(d)) is generally completed in an anechoic chamber, so it is often referred to as RSE (Radiated Spurious Emissions). However, in recent years, with standard updates, more and more standards have begun to accept using conducted methods (to complete the vast majority of tests) + additional enclosure radiation methods to complete spurious emissions testing. Antenna port spurious emissions testing refers to completing RSE testing using conducted methods.
For example, the following methods are mentioned in ANSI C63.10-2013 Section 11 (for 2.4G DTS devices):
And the following test methods are mentioned in ANSI C63.10-2013 Section 12 (for 5G U-NII devices):
In the European Union's EN 300 328 and EN 301 893, support for conducted spurious emissions testing has also been introduced for a long time.
